Have you spotted an error in the transcriptions of our records?
Unfortunately, this can happen, as old burial and cremation records can sometimes have handwriting that is tricky to read. If an incorrect transcription is found, we will always review the record and correct the transcription where we can.
We transcribe exactly what we see on the page, and if the name or date has been incorrectly recorded at the time of writing, we cannot correct these errors. In these instances, we refer to the local authority or private cemetery or crematorium and ask them to review the original records.
If you ever find any errors in the transcriptions, please get in touch via our contact form, and we will review the record.
